peering out across the bay I lay

watching

ever mist ever clear

tossing

into evergreen seas i breath unseen

lingering in the walls of your mind

one at a time

each thought catches

surpasses

unafraid to sway each phrase as they blaze

unwritten across each page

we write though I just might

recall

times where you weren’t there without a care

watching

me drown
